Altaville Grammar School

Built 1858
The one-room Altaville Grammar School was the only educational facility in Altaville from 1858 until 1950.
The architectural style is a vernacular translation of a Greek Revival design.
The schoolhouse, one of the oldest in California, became a California Historical Landmark No. 499 in 1954.
