Alfred Hitchcock shot a sequence for The Birds on Bloomfield Road. The scene featured Melanie and Mitch navigating a town littered with dead birds and a car crashed into Stormy's Tavern. Hitchcock cut the scene before the final theatrical release. A few publicity stills survive.
