County Landmark 151
Bloomfield Cemetery
13051 Sutton Street
Bloomfield
Established 1860

Bloomfield Cemetery is perched on a windswept hill overlooking Valley Ford with panoramic views of the coastal hills and surrounding landscape. When the cemetery was founded, Bloomfield was the second-largest town in Sonoma County, but its population declined after being bypassed by the expanding regional railroad lines.

The cemetery is noted for ornate masonry and basaltic stone obelisks which exhibit craftsmanship and construction techniques difficult to replicate today.
