Calaveras County Points of Interest
Campo Seco Odd Fellows Lodge originally met in Campo Seco from 1857 to 1873.
In 1873, the lodge moved to Jenny Lind and built an adobe building.
By 1887, many of the members lived in Milton, so the lodge sold the adobe building and moved to Milton.
By 1904, most of the members lived in Jenny Lind and Valley Springs, so the lodge moved to its current location on Main Street in Jenny Lind.
Jenny Lind also has an Odd Fellows Cemetery on Mann Street.

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F.) is an altruistic fraternal organization derived from the similar English Oddfellows service organizations which came into being during the 1700s....Although in Britain the Odd Fellows tended to meet in pubs, in the U.S. the lodges often built their own facilities. Many of these are now on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places....
