National Register of Historic Places in Jackson County
This Tudor Revival residence, influenced by the Arts and Crafts movement, was designed by Louis B. Humphrys for Medford businessman Hamilton Patton and his wife, Edith Warner Patton.
The house reflects excellent craftsmanship as well as characteristic elements of the Tudor historic period style. At the beginning of the 20th century, the greatest number of fine houses in the Rogue River Valley were designed in period revival styles by Frank Chamberlain Clark. The Patton House afforded a newcomer, Louis Humphrys, the opportunity to show his equal command of the Arts and Crafts idiom.
