National Register of Historic Places in Monterey County
The Porter-Vallejo Mansion is a successful integration of an 1874 Gothic Revival residence into an enlarged 1890s Queen Anne residence.
Instead of demolishing the earlier eight-room Gothic Revival house or burying it totally beneath the larger Queen Anne, William Weeks sensitively retained important features of features of the 1874 residence which can be seen today.
