August Palmtag Building
210 F Street
Eureka
Built 1893

Knowles Evans built this significant Queen Anne commercial structure for August Palmtag. The ground floor was occupied by the Pacific Pharmacy. Two rooms in the rear were occupied by a cigar stand and a fruit shop.

Although the ground floor was remodeled in 1915 and 1922, the exterior of the second story retains its original character.

The August Palmtag Building contributes to the Eureka Old Town Historic District which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
