Hacienda Bridge Over Russian River (Inventory Number 20C0037)
River Road
Built 1914
Rehabilitated 1947

A one-lane railroad bridge was built here in 1914 by the American Bridge Company of New York City. In 1947, it was replaced with the bridge seen today.

The bridge is notable for its uncommon Camelback truss main span, which according to the plaque on the bridge dates to 1914. The approach spans are concrete slabs with balustrade railings, and they date to 1947 according to a casting on the railing. Sidewalks appear to have been added after 1914.

Both banks of the Russian River in the vicinity of the bridge are private property making it difficult to photograph the bridge without a boat or a drone.

The large house on the left bank has an excellent view of the bridge and was listed for rent in July 2026 at $5,738 for five nights.
