National Register of Historic Places in Monterey County
Trimmer Hill was built for Dr. Oliver Smith Trimmer who was the first mayor of Pacific Grove and served in that office for twenty years, contributing to the town's transition from a summer community to a permanent residential community.
Trimmer Hill is an unaltered, exuberant Queen Anne residence. It displays the major characteristics of the style: asymmetry, projecting volumes, irregular plan and massing, a corner tower, and the strong juxtaposition of varied patterns, textures and materials.
Trimmer Hill is one of the most outstanding examples of its type and period in a community which is known for its 19th century architecture.

When we photographed the building in 2018, it was a private residence.
