National Register of Historic Places in Mariposa County
The Crane Flat Fire Lookout was the first fire lookout built by the National Park Service in Yosemite National Park.
The lookout is illustrative of the development of fire policy within federal land management agencies. It is also a significant early example of the Rustic architectural style typical of park and recreation facilities during much of the 20th century.
