The St. Dominic contributes to the Lower Nob Hill Apartment Hotel District which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
The National Register describes the building as: "5 stories and basement, pressed brick and finely detailed terra cotta cladding, Renaissance ornament, ground floor residential. Facade intact."
