San Francisco Points of Interest
Albert Pissis designed the original portion of this classical revival banking hall for the Anglo & London Paris National Bank. In 1921 San Francisco architect, George Kelham, was commissioned to design an addition which nearly tripled the area of the original building and expanded the Sanscme Street frontage from one to five bays.
The building was subsequently owned by Crocker-Citizens National Bank, Crocker Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Citibank.
In 1983, Citibank built a 41-story office building behind this building. The old building became an entrance to the new high rise and was rechristened "The Conservatory at One Sansome."
In 2023, the Conservatory became a venue for private events and a bar and restaurant named Holbrook House.
