Sonoma County Landmark 176
Lambert Bridge #20-248
Lambert Bridge Road
North of Healdsburg
Built 1915

The most historic extant bridge in Dry Creek Valley is Lambert Bridge named for pioneer settler Charles Lee Lambert who owned the land on which the bridge was built.

The first bridge at the crossing was built in the 1880s. In 1915, it was replaced with the existing Parker through truss bridge designed by Malcolm P. Younker and built by D. E. Alders of the American Bridge Company. This company built twenty-five percent of truss bridges in California between 1911 and 1920.

The bridge was built in eighteen days, at a cost of $8,961, by a crew of ten men.
