The Maacama Creek Bridge will probably be replaced. When we photographed the bridge in July 2026, a posted notice read, in part:
"The proposed notice is a request for a design review for the removal and replacement of the existing Chalk Hill Road bridge over Maacama Creek near the City of Healdsburg, in northwestern Sonoma County. The existing bridge was constructed in 1915 and is designated as a County Landmark. The bridge has been found to be eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places."
