The Kinmon Gakuen Building is one of four community facilities constructed in San Francisco’s Nihonjin Machi (Japanese People’s Town) that were built with funds raised by the local Japanese-American community. Through a variety of educational, cultural, and social programs, Kinmon Gakuen has worked to preserve Japanese language and culture in San Francisco for over a century.
