National Register of Historic Places in Sacramento County
This Renaissance Revival building was designed by architects Kenneth Mac Donald and G. Albert Lansburgh. The atrium was modeled after the Farnese Palace in Rome.
Facing the State Capitol complex, the hotel has seen its share of California politicians and lobbyists as well as Presidents Harding, Nixon, Ford, and Carter.
The hotel was converted to an office building in the 1980's and is not open to the public.
