National Register of Historic Places in Jackson County
The Madden-McCaskey House is a two and one-half story orchard residence built for Frank H. Madden in 1911 and long occupied by the family of noted geologist Hiram D. McCaskey.
Built by local contractors Hathaway and Scott from a design by Central Point-based architect Henry Farnum, the Madden-McCaskey House was an early and influential example of the palatial bungalow-style dwellings built by the various members of the so-called "Chicago Colony" in the Central Point vicinity during the first "Orchard Boom" period in the Rogue River Valley.
