Port Grimaud

In 1962, this site was a marsh, popular with the locals for duck hunting. Within a decade, it became a private complex of luxury homes, shops, a marina and two beaches. It was designed to emulate Venice, with canals, foot bridges, squares and alleys. Very popular with tourists, it manages to appear much older than it is.
