Fayence's Hôtel de Ville is housed in a 19th Century building sitting astride Route D563 in the Place de la Republique.

A plaque, titled Porche de la Mairie, is affixed to the building:

Cet édifice été construit sous le règne de Napoléon III en 1865, lorsque fut décidé la création de la route départmentale 563. Aujourd'hui celui-ci abrite les locaux de la Mairie. Au-dessus de la voûte se trouve la salle du Conseil.

[This building was constructed in 1865 during the reign of Napolean III when Departmental Route 563 was created. Today it shelters City Hall. The Assembly Hall is located directly above the arch.]
