Standing alone on a rocky hill above the village, the Romanesque Chapelle Saint Jean was built by the Knights Templar in the 12th Century and was restored in 1827.

We arrived at the Grand Hôtel Bain just as the restaurant was closing, but the host seated us nonetheless. The hotel has been run by the same family since 1737, during the reign of King Louis XV. The young man who welcomed us is the son of the current proprietor and will someday become the ninth generation to run this enterprise. The history of the hotel is proudly on display throughout the establishment. It was a wonderful find for us.
