Next, Napoleon's Tomb and a good part of the Army Museum, both in the area called Invalides after the Hotel des Invalides, built in 1676 by Louis XIV for his wounded and homeless veterans.

We continued our walk along Blvd Montparnasse and through the Luxembourg Gardens.

At night we attended the Paris Opera's performance of Madama Butterfly at the newer (1989) Bastille Opera House...much more entertaining than last night's ballet.
