Sonoma Coast State Beach is a series of beaches extending seventeen miles from Bodega Head to Vista Trail north of Jenner.

Duncan's Landing, pictured here, was once a landing where small coastal ships were loaded with lumber and food products. Frequent rogue waves make Duncan's Landing one of the most treacherous beaches on the Sonoma Coast.

A placard warns:

Duncan's Landing

For your safety, the rocky areas are closed to public access. Large, unpredictable waves often break on these rocks, resulting in numerous serious accidents.
