The Dairymans Bank in Valley Ford 28 June 2026
The Dairymans Bank
14435 Valley Ford Road
Valley Ford
Built 1893

The Dairymans Bank was founded by local farmers and merchants to support the agricultural region. In 1923, it merged with the Dairyman's Coast Bank. In 1928, like most local banks in Northern California, Dairyman's Coast Bank was absorbed by Bank of America.

The classical revival building retains three original heavy metal vaults which ware used as dressing rooms when the Northern Light Surf Shop was located here.

According to local lore, during its early era, it was one of the most frequently robbed banks in California.

The Valley Ford branch of Northern Light Surf Shop permanently closed February 15, 2026. When we photographed the building, it was vacant.
