Valley Ford Hotel was built by the Rein family to provide lodging for tourists initially traveling by stagecoach, subsequently by the North Pacific Coast Railroad and finally by motorcar.

When we photographed the building, it was doing business as the Valley Ford Hotel and Rocker Oysterfeller’s Kitchen + Saloon.
