Count Agoston Haraszthy
Father of California Viniculture

This building is a reconstruction of the Pompeian villa erected on this site in 1857 by Count Haraszthy. Here, on October 23, 1864, was held a masked ball, the first formal vintage celebration in California history. General & Mrs. Vallejo were guests of honor.
