National Register of Historic Places in Shasta County
Manzanita Lake Campground is located one mile east of the Manzanita Lake Entrance. Activities include camping, swimming, fishing, kayaking, and hiking.
At an elevation of 5890 feet, the campground opens each year in late spring and remains open until closed by snow in the autumn.
When the comfort station was listed on the National Register, it was located in Loop C. It was subsequently moved to Loop A.
When we photographed the comfort station in 2013, the NRHP nomination form had not been digitized and we were unable to locate any information about its historical significance.
