San Francisco Landmark #137
Notre Dame School
347 Dolores Street At 16th Street
Mission Dolores
Built 1907

Built in 1907 as a convent and girls' school, the current structure is similar to an earlier one which occupied this site until it was dynamited after the 1906 Earthquake to create a firebreak on the east side of Dolores Street. Directly across Dolores Street is Mission Dolores which survived the catastrophe.

Notre Dame School was recently renovated and converted into affordable senior housing now called Notre Dame Plaza.
