Los Banos del Mar is a public recreational facility consisting of a bathhouse and a swimming pool surrounded by landscaped walkways and mature palm trees. The architectural style merges Art Moderne and Hispanic elements.

Los Banos del Mar is one of only two historic swimming pool complexes associated with the era of coastal bathhouses in California (1875-World War II) to have survived in relatively unaltered condition.
