National Register of Historic Places in Jackson County
Situated in the rolling pear orchard country of the Bear Creek Valley between Medford and Phoenix, the home built for Frederic E. Furry around 1887 is a well-documented example of an ordinary clapboarded frame farmhouse which grew by accretion as the needs of the original occupants and subsequent owners evolved.
The configuration of the house, with its discrete units radiating from the original single-story block, has not changed since the latest wing was added around 1900.
