National Register of Historic Places in Napa County
Beringer Winery was founded in 1876 by brothers Jacob and Frederick Beringer from Mainz, Germany, with the goal of producing wines equal in quality to the best of Europe. The Rhine House, designed by architect Albert Schroepfer, was built on the Beringer estate as a residence for Frederick.
Beringer Brothers Winery is both California Historical Landmark 814 and National Register Historic District #01000878.
