Applegate Trail Marker 28A: Fandango Pass Ascent
The Warner Mountains are in the foreground. The mountains in the background are in Nevada at the western boundary of the Basin and Range Province. The Applegate Trail passes through Black Rock Desert where Burning Man encamps each September to the Applegate Trail origin near Rabbithole Springs, Nevada, where the the Lassen-Applegate Cutoff branched north from the California Trail.
