San Francisco Points of Interest
The Pioneer Log Cabin was built as a meeting house for the Association of Pioneer Women of California in 1911 and expanded in 1931.
The building is constructed of unpeeled redwood logs from Humboldt County and has two rustic masonry chimneys. It received an extensive restoration which was completed in 1995, preserving most of the historic fabric and integrity.
The Pioneer Log Cabin contributes to the Golden Gate Park Historic District.
