The Bemis Bag Company was a national leader in the manufacturing and sale of bags and sacks. This building was used by The Bemis Bag Company to fabricate and store their packaging made for housing flour, grain, and other commodities.
This reinforced concrete building was completed in 1906 and is designated a contributing structure to the Northeast Waterfront Landmark District.
This commercial and industrial historic district reflects waterfront storage and maritime activities, from the Gold Rush era to World War II. It features a large collection of warehouses and industrial buildings constructed of brick and reinforced concrete.
