Museum Drive
Golden Gate Park
Created 1906

Little is known about the bronze lion that sits contentedly upon a rock near the de Young Museum except that it was created by R. Hinton Perry and donated to the park by Shreve & Co.

The sculpture contributes to the Golden Gate Historic Park District.
