National Register of Historic Places in Tulare County
The Hyde House, located in an older residential neighborhood, was built by E. O. Miller in 1886 and purchased soon thereafter by the Richard E. Hyde family.
The design is based on the formal Queen Anne style initiated by the English architect, Norman Shaw, in the 1870s. The style relies heavily on mixed uses of materials and textures, and contains the Tudor and Medieval details associated with the style.
The Hyde House is unique in Visalia and reflects the early character of the community.

The Hyde House remains an owner-occupied, single-family home. When we took the photograph, the house was on the market with an asking price of $419,900.
