The Neo-Classical Federal Reserve Bank building designed by George Kelham is significant as:
- the first structure built by the Fedreal Reserve in San Francisco
- representative of the federal government's growing association with monumental architecture
- an intact contributor to to San Francisco's important collection of clasically designed banking halls
- an expression of the design ideals of the Panama Pacific International Exposition of 1915.
