San Francisco Landmark #25
Moulinie Building
458-460 Jackson Street
Built 1852

Although this one-story, brick building dates to the 1850's, its simple lines and pale color suggest a modernist building of the 1950's. It was built for a French sea captain and was owned by his descendants for over a century. The three-story building in the photograph is the Solari Building East, San Francisco Landmark 22.

The Moulinie Building is in the Jackson Square Historic District.
