This Queen Anne residence was designed by William H. Weeks for Edgar Holloway and his wife, Dora Ellis Holloway. Mr. Holloway was a mechanic and inventor, and both he and his wife descended from pioneer Gilroy families.

Mr. Weeks was a prominent South Bay architect who also designed the nearby Gilroy landmarks Carnegie Free Library and Wheeler Hospital.
