National Register of Historic Places in Josephine County
This remarkably well-preserved two-story frame house was built by Edwin Newell, a carpenter and cabinet-maker. It is one of the few homes remaining on G Street which date back to the time when G Street, originally named Front Street, was the main street in Grants Pass.
Newell played a leading role in the construction of Newman United Methodist Church located three blocks northeast of his house.
