Arthur Raycraft House
Booker Street
Tonopah
Built 1906
An outstanding example of stone construction during Tonopah's boom days, the Raycraft house
with its two Queen Anne Style turrets on the front facade, provides an interesting variation of
the dominant residential style in Tonopah in the early years of the century. Arthur Raycraft
came to Tonopah as a banker in 1904 and during the next years participated in Central Nevada
mining ventures as well as installing the first wireless telegraph system in Manhattan....
From Tonopah: Queen of the Silver Camps brochure published by the Tonopah Chamber of Commerce.
The Arthur Raycraft House is now a private residence.
